NYK line va ouvrir une ligne Asie-Mexico-Amérique Latin de l’Ouest dès la fin du mois de janvier 2005. Ce service va remplacer Andex que NYK a géré avec CSAV ces 10 dernières années.
4 navires de 2200 EVP chacun et six navires de 1600 EVP vont avoir des départs quotidiens à date fixe . Le service Est avec comme escales Pusan, la Corée du Sud a commencé le 26 janvier 2005. Le service Ouest débute un mois plus tard.
NYK va ouvrir son propre bureau en France le 1er avril, remplaçant l’accord avec Worms Services Maritimes.

L’armateur français Louis Dreyfus (LDA) a lancé un service ro-ro entre Toulon et Civitavecchia (Rome) à partir du 27 janvier en partenariat avec Grimaldi d’Italie. Un navire italien va faire 3 navettes quotidiennement en embarquant 150 camions et 160 nouvelles voitures à chaque passage ainsi que des passagers. Ce service pourrait bénéficier d’une subvention publique dans le cadre du programme Marco Polo de l‘EU qui se concentre sur les alternatives à la route.

Les volumes de cargo aérien par Larcana ont augmenté très fortement depuis que Chypre a rejoint l’EU en mai 2004. Chypre a vu le total de ses exportations augmenter de 20% et ses importations de 17%. Mais les désaccords entre la Turquie et Chypre demeurent malgré tout un frein à son essor économique.
Chypre est stratégiquement située entre l’Asie, le Moyen Orient, l’Europe et l’Afrique et pourrait devenir une plateforme logistique pour le feedering, le commerce et même pour le tourisme.

Le péage poids lourd allemand (LKW Maut) a connu une introduction réussie au début de mois de janvier 2005. Le péage pourrait augmenter de 20% soit de 0.124E 0.15 E dès janvier 2006.
Teleroute (www.teleroute.com) fournit un planificateur d’itinéraire pour aider les chauffeurs qui veulent aller en Allemagne ou le traverser à calculer les paiements du Maut.

183 ME d’investissement pour le port autonome de Paris. Ce plan d’investissement a été approuvé fin 2004 pour la période 2004/2008. Il sert à l’amélioration de la plate forme multimodale de Gennevilliers, le transport passagers, les déchets et les activités BTP dans Paris même, à la construction et amélioration d’ouvrages fluviaux et enfin à la mise en sécurité et la réalisation de nouvelles surface d’entreposage et de bureaux.

Voir dans la revue de presse n°15 de CLI l'article sur la Rochelle. En décembre est passé le décret qui fait du port de la Rochelle un nouveau port autonome. Les six ports autonomes maritimes actuels : bordeaux, Dunkerque, Le Havre, Marseille, Nantes/St Nazaire et Rouen ont été institués par la loi d’autonomie de 1965. Le port de la Rochelle a généré en 2003 un trafic record de 7.9MT (soit 4.7Mt en entrée et 3.2MT en sortie). Le tonnage du port de Nantes s’est élevé à 30.8 MT et celui de Bordeaux à 8.4 MT.

Un opérateur de terminal à Fos 2XL

Le Conseil d’administration du port autonome de Marseille a approuvé les termes de la convention qui nomme MSC (agence maritime et armateur italo suisse qui possède déjà 24 terminaux dans le monde) opérateur du terminal Fos 2XL. Il comportera 700 mètres de quais et 54 hectares de terre-pleins.
L’occupation et la jouissance du domaine public sera de 35 ans, l’opérateur s’engage à respecter des objectifs de trafic minimum et un dispositif de redevance domaniale sera mis en place. La convention désignera les investissements à la charge de l’opérateur.

La convention d’exploitation d’un terminal sur Port 2000 au Havre a été signée entre le port autonome du Havre et la filiale de portSynergy (CMA-CGM, l’armateur marseillais et P&O). Ce terminal sera opérationnel début 2006 et aura une capacité de 675 000 EVP et une profondeur d’eau entre 14.5 et 16 mètres.

NYk line will launch its own Asia-Mexico-West Latin America service from the end of this month. Its alex (Asia Latin Express) service replaces the Andex service NYK has operated with CSAV for the last 10 years.
Four 2.200teu and six 1.600 teu vessels will provide the weekly fixed-day service. The eastbound service into Pusan, South Korea, begins on 26 January. Westbound services start a month later.
NYK will establish its own branch office in France on 1 April, replacing an agency agreement with Worms Services Maritimes.

French shipowner Louis Dreyfus Armateurs (LDA) will launch a ro-ro service between Toulon and civitavecchia (Rome) from 27 January in partnership with Grimaldi of Italy. An Italian registered ro-ro vessel will make three round trips weekly in an initial phase carrying 150 trucks and 160 new cars per crossing, as well as passengers.
The service could benefit from a public subsidy within the framework of the EU’s Marco Polo programme, which focuses on alternatives to road transport.

Air freight volumes through Larcana have mushroomed since Cyprus joined the EU in May 2004. Cyprus has seen its total exports grow 20% and imports 17%. The island true potential will not be realised until the political situation with Turkey is resolved.
Cyprus is strategically placed between Asia, the Middle East, Europe and Africa to become a hub for transhipment, for trade and even for tourism.

The German Truck toll - LKW Maut - has had a successful introduction at the beginning of January 2005. The toll could rise from the current average of Euros 0.124/km to Euros 0.15 from January 2006, that is a 20% rise.
On-line solutions provider Teleroute (www.teleroute.com) has launched a route planner to help hauliers transporting goods to or through Germany to calculate Maut payments.

See in the press review no 15 of CLI the article about la Rochelle. The decree passed in December 2004 that paved the way for la Rochelle to become an autonomous port. The autonomous law of 1965 established the 6 current autonomous ports in France : Bordeaux, Dunkerque, le Havre, Marseilles, Nantes/St Nazaire and Rouen. The port of la Rochelle produced a record traffic of 7.9MT in 2003 (4.7MT in import and 3.2MT in export). Tonnage at the port of Nantes reached a high of 30.8 MT, Bordeaux reached 8.4MT.

He will be operating precisely 700 metres of quay line and a terminal of 54 acres for a period of 35 years.
Minimum traffic objectives will be ensured by the operator. And a payment fee for use of the public ground will be payed for. The convention will detail the investment which will be at the operator’s expense.

The convention for operating the terminal at port 2000 at le Havre has been signed between the port of Le Havre and the branch office of PortSynergy (CMA CGM Marseilles shipping company and P&O a British shipping company have formed the joint venture PortSynergy). The terminal will be operational at the start of 2006 and it will have a capacity of 675 000 TEU and a draught between 14.5 and 16 meters.

Euros 183 millions were invested in the port of Paris. This investment was approved by the end of 2004 for a 2004/2008 period. It will help improve the multimodal platform of Gennevilliers, transporting passengers, waste and building activities in Paris, all the way to construction and improving the waterways facilities and securing and construction new warehouses and offices.
