Les agents maritimes ont démarré l’exploitation du nouveau système Ademar Protis+ (AP+) de la société MGI (Marseille Gyptis International) le 21 septembre. Ils annoncent leurs navires dans le nouveau système pour ETD le 22 octobre. AP+ sera ouvert aux autres utilisateurs dès le 28 septembre. AP+ offrirait un gain de Temps et semble bien fonctionner. Les transitaires pourront alors ouvrir leurs dossiers AMQ (*), qui seront reliés aux confirmations de bookings. Cependant tout dossier commencé dans Protis (ancien système informatique) sera achevé dans le même système. Le port de Marseille bascule dans un système informatique communautaire conçu pour durer.

L’intégration de Rouen dans le programme des rotations de NDAL (Nile Dutch Africa Line) a été officiellement annoncé il y a quelques jours par Harry Veldman, directeur général de la compagnie, venu présenter le service devant les professionnels rouennais du Syndicat rouennais des commissionnaires de transport, transitaires (SRCTT). Nile Dutch Africa Line va réaliser trois à quatre escales chaque mois au terminal à conteneurs de Grand-Couronne. Les navires de la compagnie desservent Freetown, Monrovia, Abidjan, Luanda, Lobito, Pointe-Noire, Libreville et Douala. Pour Rouen, la venue de NDAL signifie aussi des liaisons directes sur plusieurs ports ouest africains, avec des temps de passage compétitifs (9 jours pour Freetown, 12 pour Abidjan, 16 pour Luanda). NDAL est également ouverte aux frets pour Matadi, Soyo et Cabinda (ports relayés depuis Pointe-Noire par un feeder de la ligne). “La ligne acccepte les conteneurs de 20 et 40 pieds secs, high-cube, reefers... La commercialisation du service sera assurée par NILE-DUTCH FRANCE, société basée au Havre chez CURRIE.

Continental a annoncé dimanche qu’il reprenait son activité à l’aéroport de Houston Bush Intercontinental, après le passage de l’ouragan Rita. La compagnie qui a un centre logistique à Houston a déclaré qu’elle allait programmer 249 vols au lieu des 274 vols habituels, ce dimanche. Elle a indiqué qu’elle comptait reprendre ses horaires réguliers de vol dès lundi. Continental Express et Continental Connection reprendraient leur activité en entrée et en sortie de Houston dès lundi.

British Airways a signé un accord pour une augmentation de ses services aériens entre la GB et l’Inde de plus du double. A partir du 30 octobre, BA augmentera le nombre de vols Heathrow-Mumbai d’une à deux fois par jour. A destination de Chennai le nombre de vols sera 6 fois plus important, et il y aura un service 5 fois par semaine de Heathrow à Bangalore. En juin 2006, il lancera un service deux fois par jour à destination de Dehli. Les vols d’avions cargo de et vers l’Inde sont illimités du à un arrangement « ciel ouvert ».

La Banque asiatique de développement (BAD) a annoncé vendredi l’octroi à la Chine de deux prêts d’un montant total d’un milliard de dollars pour améliorer le réseau routier et ferroviaire dans l’Ouest du pays. Un prêt de 600 M USD a été alloué pour le projet d’une ligne ferroviaire express reliant Chengdu, la capitale provinciale du Sichuan, à Kunming, dans le Yunnan voisin. Une partie des fonds servira également à construire des routes, a précisé la BAD. Le second prêt, d’une valeur de 400 M USD, concerne le projet d’une ligne ferroviaire de 460 km reliant Zhengzhou à Xian.

La Pologne a révélé son projet de mettre sur pieds le plus grand point de contrôle douanier à la frontière avec la Russie à Kaliningrad. Il ouvrira au début de l’année prochaine. Au point de contrôle on traitera d’abord le flux d’automobiles et de cars. Deux autres terminaux devraient être construits pour permettre le passage de 800 camions par jour par la douane et par le contrôle frontalier.

Il n’y aura pas de pénurie d’hydrocarbures dans le monde dans un avenir prévisible, mais de nouveaux investissements importants seront nécessaires pour parvenir à les extraire et à les exploiter, selon l’Agence internationale de l’Énergie (AIE), qui a publié jeudi un rapport sur ce sujet. “Il n’y a pas de pénurie de pétrole et de gaz dans le sol, mais les exploiter pour étancher la soif du monde nécessitera des investissements lourds dans des technologies nouvelles”, a déclaré à cette occasion le directeur de l’AIE, Claude Mandil. L’AIE assure que le monde dispose de suffisamment d’hydrocarbures pour assurer la transition vers des sources d’énergies renouvelables.

The integration of Rouen in the rotational program of NDAL (Nile Dutch Africa Line) was officially announced by the CEO of the company, Harry Veldman . at the presentation of the service to the professionals from the freight forwarding union of Rouen. NDAL will be making two or three stops each month at the Grand-Couronne container terminal. Ships call at Freetown, Monrovia, Abidjan, Luanda, Lobito, Pointe-Noire, Libreville and Douala. The new arrival of NDAL at Rouen will allow direct calls to several West African ports with competitive transit time (9 days to Freetown, 12 days to Abidjan, 16 days to Luanda). NDAL also accepts freight to Matadi, Soyo and Cabinda (connecting ports from Pointe Noire by one of the company’s feeders).”The company accepts 20 and 40 feet dry containers, high cubes and reefers… The commercial service will be provided by NDAL France, a company based in le Havre at Curry’s premises.

Continental Airlines said on Sunday it resumed operations at the Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport following Hurricane Rita. The company, which uses Houston as a hub, said that it plans to operate 249 of its 274 regularly scheduled flights out of the airport on Sunday. It said in a statement it expects to operate a full schedule on Monday. Continental Express and Continental Connection will begin flying to and from Houston on Monday.

British Airways has welcomed the signing of the new air services agreement between the UK and India, which will more than double the number of direct services between the two countries. From 30 October, BA will increase Heathrow-Mumbai flights from daily to twice-daily, to Chennai to six a week and there will be new five-times-a-week service between Heathrow and Bangalore. In June 2006, it will start a twice daily service to Delhi. Freighter flights to and from India are unrestricted due to a cargo open skies arrangements.

The Asian bank for development (ABD) announced Friday that it will grant China two loans of a total amount of $1 bn to improve their road and railway networks in western China. A loan of $600 m was allocated for an express railway line linking Chengdu, the provincial capital of Sichuan to Kunming in the neighbouring province of Yunnan. Part of the funds will also be used to build roads noted the BAD. The second loan worth $400 m concerns the project of a 460 km long railway line linking Zhengzhou to Xian.

Poland has revealed plans to open its largest border checkpoint with Russia in Kaliningrad. It will open during the first half of next year. The checkpoint will initially deal with car and bus traffic. Two more terminals will be built to allow up to 800 trucks a day to pass through customs and border control.

According to AIE (International Agency for Energy) there will be no hydrocarbon shortage worldwide, in the near future. However major new investments will be necessary to extract it and exploit it. According to the AIE report published on Thursday. “There won’t be any shortage of oil or gas in the soil, but to exploit them costly investments in new technologies will be required to quench the world’s thirst”, stated AIE manager, Claude Mandil. The AIE is certain that the world’s resources in hydrocarbons are sufficient to ensure the transition to renewable energy sources.
